    Course Description
    Ideas and values from the scientific revolution of the 17th century to the Second World War, emphasizing the various revolutions and their impact on philosophy, religion, literature, and the arts, with considerable attention payed to poets and reformers of the changing times.

    Our group lecture is held on Friday and it is here that you will turn in your lecture responses and reading responses for lecture attendance credit; we will discuss your concerns and comments about lecture on the first of the week and will proceed to textual critique with our given time. Precedence will be given to individual formal presentations when they begin during week 6; these presentations will be given the class prior to lecture.
